The council is a consultee on all planning applications. Each application is considered by the Planning Working Group who then report their recommendations to the subsequent parish council meeting where members of the public can comment and the council's response is decided.
Work to include the village design statement in the Council’s supplementary planning document has been completed, which should ensure that any further development in the village is carried out in a sympathetic manner. The Government Planning Inspector has approved the city’s development plan, which includes Glinton, as a limited growth village, which we have all been working for.
